Every time I read the comment "This game looks like a (ps2, xbox, gc, "last-gen") game" I have to call BS. Although NFS:C isn't as realistic as Forza 2 or PGR 3 or GTwhateveritscalled, it is still could not have been done at its level of detail on a last gen console, no way. It is way more detailed, whether you like the more cartoony,colorful art direction or not. The pavement textures alone are more than the last gen consoles could handle. ...I'll bite. PS3 Fan(girl) is just jealous that come November we'll have the most anticipated title in the world and he'll have to wait another year to start getting them on PS3 (DMC4, MGS4). Its also upsetting to him that GOW has more creative artistic design and graphical detail than any game shown for PS3 so far (including the AAAs like MGS4 and Resistance)....Sometimes sad people lash out for no reason :)

Looks good, but not mind blowing (like Lair or GOW). Looks like a cool game though. Until I see more, looks graphically like a decent improvement on PGR3 but with a super cool water effect.
....but I have to say they know how to make a polished looking game. Not a hater or a flamebaiter....I think both 360 (i have) and PS3 (I'll likely have - when the price comes down and there are a bunch of must have games) are both excellent platforms for great games.
My only problem with DMC series is (as a westerner) I just can't get into the "quirky" japanese characters and plots. Same reason I can respect MGS series as cool games, but don't really wanna play them....
Of course its a value, the accountants can empirically prove it - the components in the PS3 cost way more than the price you pay for it (same goes for 360). However, it has been and always will be about choice. You can get in on 1080p gaming with 360 for $299. Of course, if you "add-on" additional features, it will cost more. The cheapest, ABSOLUTE CHEAPEST, you can get in on HD gaming with PS is for $499. 200 dollars more - do you get more for the 499 than the 299? If course you do...
Maybe they are waiting for the new PES or FIFA? Seems like that would sell a bunch of consoles...
...lets not forget that because there is no ubiquitous system, its likely that your friends playing other games won't see that you've sent them an invite (no little bubble pops up to tell you you've got a message). they may never see your invite unless they go to the PS3 interface and see they have new messages (which I think they can only do by quiting the game). Its these little inconveniences that add up to an inferior (if not down right annoying) experience.
